The Perfect Shop

Posted in: The Journey
I came across a shop today that was very unique and I have decided that it is ‘the one.’ Perfect to stock my jewellery.

As I wondered into the shop, I was greeted by a luxurious deep red theme with huge antique style gold mirrors, lillies and beautiful costume jewellery laid out on tables.

The shop had a classic old fashioned style with chunky, original floors and high ceilings. It also had handbags and some quirky bits and pieces like cool Wellington boots.

The jewellery was priced between 20 (for earrings) and 200 pounds (for larger pieces) and that’s my price range also. The lady was very friendly with just the right amount of eccentricity to her. She made polite conversation and mentioned she gets busier from March onwards.

So now I have a month in mind. That doesn’t give me too long! :-D

The lady was obviously a big jewellery fan, she talked about her current stock with a genuine passion and commented on her favourite piece - a necklace in a glazed enamel deep blue colour, with oxidized silver. I think some Iolite may be in order! As for the red theme, it has to be Garnet nuggets with gold filled wire… the search begins!
